Meet the mascot of the Camping Resort Baia di Gallipoli
Our special mascot, Riccio Nasone
Many years ago, when the Baia di Gallipoli campsite was still under construction, many animals lived in the pine forest, including these funny mammals covered with spines... hedgehogs.
One day, one of those friendly little men in blue shirts, who you see constantly walking around the campsite, found a small, solitary, frightened hedgehog near a large, magical, centuries-old tree.
The little blue man soon realized that this was no ordinary hedgehog, because he had a big red nose that no other hedgehog had!

"I came here because I am so lonely and I would like to meet new friends," said the hedgehog to the little blue man.
So, the two started talking and the hedgehog told him that he had come all the way to Baia di Gallipoli because he hoped to find someone to spend time with, someone to play with, since he felt so lonely and now even more disconsolate because of his red nose...
Thus, the little blue man invited him to follow him to a magical place just behind the ancient tree where they had met.
"This will become your home," said the little blue man to the hedgehog. "For five days, every morning, close your eyes and look at the enchanted leaves of this tree, make a wish and everything you want will come true."
So, the hedgehog followed the little blue man's advice, closed his eyes for five days with his gaze turned toward the tree and on the sixth day, magic happened! The hedgehog found himself in a super nice campsite where all the children gather nowadays to play and have fun together. Right in that very place is a magical MINI CLUB!
As a result, the hedgehog began to meet new friends who decided to call him Riccio Nasone, because of his big nose!
From that moment on, Riccio Nasone no longer felt sad and disconsolate and decided never to leave that magical place.
At Camping Baia di Gallipoli, he is still waiting new friends every day to have fun, dance and play with!
